Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 SDGs, which form an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. We believe that everyone plays an important role in advancing sustainable development and in order to align our business objectives with the SDGs, we have identified a number of SDGs which we can contribute to through our business practices, products and services. The SDGs that we focus on and the related Sustainability Factors are as follows: SDG Our effort Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages Section 8.3 Safe working environment We constantly implement safety measures and procedures to avoid accidents that are preventable and therefore, maintain the well-being and safety of our workers. Section 8.4 Welfare and Rights of foreign workers We ensure that our foreign workers are treated fairly and are provided with the necessary welfare. They are also provided with opportunities to improve their skills, which helps us to maintain a productive and quality workforce that is vital to the success of our business. Section 8.5 Employee retention We place heavy emphasis on retaining a workforce that is of high quality, skilled and experienced, which contributes to the success of our business. This in turn creates long-term economic value for shareholders as well as economic productivity.
